empowering people through
birth + new parenthood

I am Jhenyfeir Esmeralda Cubero, I’m a mother of two and a Certified Registered Labor and Delivery Nurse. I am also a student Midwife, professional ToLabor birth doula, infant massage educator, childbirth educator based in Richmond, Virginia. I have training in Spinning Babies, body balancing, acupressure, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, breastfeeding and perinatal loss and grief. I obtained my midwife assistant certificate from Ina May Gaskin’s Midwifery farm. I am currently working towards my Certified Nurse Midwife degree at Frontier Nursing University. I am passionate about all things related to pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.

I became a doula because I love supporting people through this beautiful ritual that can so often be intimidating. I was supported through my own birth by an amazing doula who provided my partner and I with continuous and unconditional support. Now, I feel driven to provide that same care for others. It has been a life-changing decision to dedicate myself to birth work and I am so glad my personal experience moved me to empower others during their own transition into parenthood. So much so that I became a registered nurse to work in labor and delivery and now I’m on the journey towards transitioning into the role of a Midwife.

Birth is a sacred time that should be protected. When working with expecting parents, my goal is to help equip you with the necessary tools to have your dream birth. I focus on presenting evidence-based information to my clients; that way, you can find your approach and tailor your birth to your desired experience.

Instead of my clients molding to my style, I mold to you. I’m ever present for labor and delivery, providing safety and comfort. I’m prepared to assist with pain management. I provide the laboring person with comfort, coping techniques, relaxation, acupressure, massage as well as guidance to your labor partner, when needed. I ensure confidentiality.
